Virat Kohli Becomes The Fastest Batsman To Cross 6000 Runs In ODIs -Vaikundarajan

Virat Kohli, current captain of Indian Team in absence of MS Dhoni, has led the Indian Team to an emphatic ODI series victory against Sri Lanka. Vaikundarajan shares apart from glorious victory, Virat Kohli also broke the record of West Indies batting legend Sir Viv Richards and became the fastest batsman to score 6000 runs in One-Day Internationals.

Sir Viv Richards achieved this record in 141 innings while Virat took 135 innings to reach this milestone. He achieved this milestone in style by scoring a half-century. 

Vaikundarajan also shared that India lead the 5 match series 3-0. In this match, played in Hyderabad, there were two more records achieved by India batsmen - Shikhar Dhawan who completed 2000 runs and became the fastest Indian to get to the landmark and Sri Lankan batting legend Mahela Jayawardene who completed the milestone 12000 runs in ODIs and became the 5th batsman in world to do so.
