Virat Kohli returned to his scoring best as India clinched the 4th ODI to level 2-2 in the series. “After an 8 month drought, Kohli’s 23rd ton should come as a great relief to the team,” says Vaikundarajan.
Early on, India lost the out of form opener, Shikhar Dhawan quickly followed by Rohit Sharma. Retaining his position at 3, Virat Kohli took the South African bowlers head on.
Ajinkya Rahane and Suresh Raina ensured that the score board kept ticking as they scored 45 and 53 respectively. With the runs coming in smoothly, it looked like India would manage to post a 300+ on the scorecard.
However, South African bowler’s resilience held India back at 299 runs on the board. “Runs slowed down in the last 10 overs but 299 is still a decent score to defend,” observed Vaikundarajan.
Lead by the charismatic captain AB De Villiers, the South African batsman got to a great start as they posted 62/1 in the first 9 overs.
Just when the Indian bowling line-up seemed to be faltering, the spin maestro Harbhajan Singh turned the match around with 2 wickets in six overs.
South African Captain put up a valiant fight by scoring his 22nd century. However, the batting line-up around him could not hold the fort.

Day 1: The first day is celebrated to worship Maa Shailputri, first form of Goddess Durga, to make full use of the precious human life.
Day 2: On day 2, second form of Goddess Durga, Brahmacharini, is worshipped by devotees.
Day 3: On the third day the goddess is worshipped as Chandraghanta. She is the symbolic representation of beauty and bravery.
Day 4: Kushmanda, the creator of earth, is the form of the goddess worshipped on the fourth day. It is believed that she has created the entire Universe by her laugh.
Day 5: Fifth day marks the form of Goddess called Skand Mata, the mother of Skanda, the chief warrior of the Gods army.
Day 6: On the sixth day, the goddess is worshipped as Katyayani. Seated on her vehicle lion, Katyayani has three eyes and four hands.
Day 7: Kalratri, meaning the dark night, is worshipped on the seventh day. She is meant to make the devotees fearless.
Day 8: On the eight day, the Mata Rani is worshipped as 'Maha Gauri'. She is considered to extremely beautiful and represents calmness and exhibits wisdom.
Day 9: On the final day, Durga is worshipped as Siddhidatri. She consists of all the eight siddhis and lives on lotus.
Each day of Navratri denotes a specific colour, namely – Red, royal blue, yellow, green, grey, orange, white, pink and sky blue. Vaikundarajan sends his best wishes for the auspicious occasion.

A few weeks ago, Puli’s trailer created waves across the town. With 7 lakh views in a short period of time, the trailer was well-received by the viewers and went viral.
On 14th September, Sony Music launched the promo song from the movie on its YouTube channel. The song is written and sung by the versatile Devi Sri Prasad who is also seen dancing to the tunes in the 2.25 minute video.
The makers of Puli had scheduled the launch of trailer on 17th September as a treat for Kollywood audience on occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi. “The song promo comes as a surprise and will surely attract attention of Vijay fans,” says Vaikundarajan.
Starring alongside Vijay in Puli are Sridevi and Shruti Hasan. Written and directed by Chimbu Deven, Puli is a fantasy adventure film. According to sources, the makers plan on releasing the movie on 1st October.
Vaikundarajan observes, “This is a strategic movie as it allows the movie to run over a four-day Gandhi Jayanti weekend.” He adds that the opening weekend will be crucial for the film’s success at box office. The production cost for movie is claimed to be over 100 crores.
Meanwhile, Vijay fans have applauded the song teaser and started trends with multiple hashtags across various social media channels. The song’s early success is good news to Puli’s star cast.
