Early Release of Puli’s Song Promo Is An Excellent Marketing Strategy, Says Vaikundarajan

A few weeks ago, Puli’s trailer created waves across the town. With 7 lakh views in a short period of time, the trailer was well-received by the viewers and went viral.

On 14th September, Sony Music launched the promo song from the movie on its YouTube channel. The song is written and sung by the versatile Devi Sri Prasad who is also seen dancing to the tunes in the 2.25 minute video.

The makers of Puli had scheduled the launch of trailer on 17th September as a treat for Kollywood audience on occasion of Ganesh Chathurthi. “The song promo comes as a surprise and will surely attract attention of Vijay fans,” says Vaikundarajan.

Starring alongside Vijay in Puli are Sridevi and Shruti Hasan. Written and directed by Chimbu Deven, Puli is a fantasy adventure film. According to sources, the makers plan on releasing the movie on 1st October.

Vaikundarajan observes, “This is a strategic movie as it allows the movie to run over a four-day Gandhi Jayanti weekend.” He adds that the opening weekend will be crucial for the film’s success at box office. The production cost for movie is claimed to be over 100 crores.

Meanwhile, Vijay fans have applauded the song teaser and started trends with multiple hashtags across various social media channels. The song’s early success is good news to Puli’s star cast.

Now that the stage is set, it remains to be seen how the movie does at box office, concludes Vaikundarajan.

Vaikundarajan Reviews Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 Teaser Trailer

When it released in 2011, little did we expect that a movie with a lesser known star cast could pack a punch. Pyaar ka Punchnama went on to become one of the best films of the year. It has also achieved a cult status since its release.

Four years after its runaway success, the makers of the films are back with a sequel. An official teaser trailer for Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 was revealed yesterday. Vaikundarajan shares his observation on what to expect.

One of the highlights of the original was the onscreen bromance between the three lead actors. However, it looks like two of those actors will not feature in the sequel.

Vaikundarajan notes that the fans will dearly miss the two leads, fondly known as Liquid and Vikrant in the movie. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the movie is set to release on October 16, 2015.

Much like its predecessor, the dialogues will return to its quirky best. The movie which redefined comedy for relationships is set to tickle your funny bones.

‘We have recently seen a surge in low budget movies that have delivered. Pyaar Ka Punchnama has already proved its potential once. Now, it simply has to live up to the hype,’ says Vaikundarajan.

Vaikundarajan Speaks On Onam Festivities Celebrations In Kerala

“Onam is a Hindu Festival celebrated in Kerala with much reverence,” Vaikundarajan says.

This year, Chief Minister of Kerela - Oommen Chandy, inaugurated the week long Onam celebrations. “Onam conveys the message of prosperity, equality and fraternity,” he said during his inauguration speech.

Organized by the Tourism Department, the Onam festivities echo the right culture and rituals of the state. 5000 artistes are expected to perform across 29 venues as a part of the celebration.

The renovated ground of Kanakakunnu Palace was also inaugurated at the event. Acclaimed lyricist and poet Sreekumaran Thampi, playback legend K S Chitra and composer and musician Manoj George were honored at the function.

The function commenced with the recital of “Kasturi Tilakam” the shloka on Krishna sung by Chitra. Among others present at the event were Health Minister V S Sivakumar, MLAs K Muraleedharan, Palode Ravi and K S sabarinadhan, Corporation ward councilor Leelamma Isaac and Tourism Secretary G Kamalavardhana Rao.
