Vaikundarajan On MS Dhoni’s Biopic Film

A biopic on MS Dhoni has been in the news for long. “Recently, it was announced that director Neeraj Pandey had cast Sushant Singh Rajput to take the role of captain cool in the film titled ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’” says Vaikundarajan.

The film is set for a release on 2nd September 2016 as confirmed by Sushant Singh Rajput through his Twitter account. The tweet quoted, “#dhoniTheUntoldStory will release on 2nd September 2016. Can’t wait. #neerajpandey @foxstarhindi.”

“Expectations will be high given that Dhoni has a huge fan base. Sushant is a method actor and has trained rigorously for this role,” informs Vaikundarajan.

The movie will be produced under the banner of Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainment. Shot in Ranchi, the movie features Anupam Kher as MS Dhoni’s father.

Bollywood rarely churns out sports movies. The last two sports movies to make a mark were Chak De India and Mary Kom. “The curiosity will be high as the movie is about one of the most prolific athletes of India,” says Vaikundarajan.

Neeraj Pandey has consistently delivered good movies and it would not be surprising to see another masterpiece from him. Vaikundarajan hopes the film becomes the best of 2016 and wishes the crew a good luck.
