Vaikundarajan Shocked That M S Dhoni Decided To Retire From Test Cricket

https://vimeo.com/user27798620
Indian caption, M S Dhoni's yesterday announced that he is retiring from Test cricket, says Vaikundarajan. After nine wonderful years captaining the Indian side and making it one of the world’s toughest cricketing sides, the boy from Ranchi, Jharkhand called it a day.

His retirement in Test matches comes as a shocker to many cricket aficionados, including Vaikundarajan. On all of his post-match interactions to the press never did he talk about his retirement, all he spoke was about sledging, about draws, about wanting to avoid defeat, but not once cricket.

On his last test match, until his retirement, Dhoni made 24 runs not out on 39 balls as India drew the match. Dhoni has made 4,876 runs in 90 Tests at an average of 38.09.

M S Dhoni, known for his calm and calculating mind, has captained India to three premier ICC titles, won the ICC World Twenty20 in 2007 and the ICC ODI World Cup in 2011. Another remarkable achievement by M S Dhoni was that he is the longest wicketkeeper batsman and a captain in the game. He is the only Indian batsman to complete 10,000 runs or more as captain in international cricket, joining Ricky Ponting (15,440), Graeme Smith (14,878), Stephen Fleming (11,561) and Allan Border (11,062), says Vaikundarajan.

Thank you Mr Dhoni, for your fine contribution in Test matches!

And just like that a New Year begins. The year behind was memorable one and Vaikundarajan hopes the year ahead is even more eventful.

This year has been a tremendous, believes Vaikundarajan. We have had a new government, lead by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India’s Mars Orbiter Mission, also called Mangalyaan has been orbiting Mars since September. The ISL was launched, with Kolkata being its first champions. Sport personalities were recognised for the Bharat Ratna. India also won the Blind World Cup. We also became polio-free, as claimed by WHO and gave transgender’s an identity, by accepting them as a third gender. Yeah! it has been a splendid year.

For the year ahead, Vaikundarajan hopes for better things. He hopes women in our country feel a bit safer. He hopes that the economy’s growth track continues to improve. He wishes there are less parliamentary disturbances than last year. He wishes that our country continues to develop technology to make us proud. He wishes to be with his loved ones for the whole year. Thus, let it be another great new year.

To part, Vaikundarajan would like to say, may the New Year give you the strength to face the challenges of life and courage to adjust the sail so as to take every situation to your stride.

Jharkhand Victory For BJP And In Jammu & Kashmir, PDP The Highest Seat Getter, Says Vaikundarajan

http://vaikundarajans.tumblr.com/

Yesterday election results at Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand were out. The people from the state voted for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as its single largest party in Jammu Kashmir and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won in Jharkand, says Vaikundarajan. The electoral victories for the BJP is tremendous in Jharkhand and in Jammu and Kashmir, they are the second largest party.

In Jharkhand, voters in the mineral-rich state gave the BJP a clear nod with 42 of the 81 seats going to the saffron party.  This was the first time, the state which was formed in 2000, has got a party which has been the single the largest party, say Vaikundarajan.

Unlike in Jharkhand which had a clear winner, in Jammu and Kashmir no party achieved a clear majority say Vaikundarajan. The PDP won 28 seats in the state, with the BJP coming in second place winning 25 seats, with the National conference getting 15 seats and the Congress winning 12 seats. Such a result, will lead to the PDP seeking alliances with another for controlling the state.

Vaikundarajan wishes both the majority parties in the state best of luck and is grateful to the people of these states voting, as it shows India’s true democratic spirit.
